PA Group UK, part of the RSK Group, are looking to recruit a Commercial and/or Business Development individual to form part of the management team and take responsibility for all commercial aspects and direction of the business. 

This role will be full time and based out of Dartford, UK with all necessary travelling to suit the role.

The PA Group UK is a multi-disciplined HSE licensed asbestos removal and UKAS accredited asbestos inspection and testing contractor, providing clients in the public and private sectors, a flexible and comprehensive portfolio of asbestos services, as well as associated contracting packages acting as principal contractor. 

The Role:

Reporting directly into the Managing Director as part of the management team. The role is to profitably review and develop opportunities from both the existing client base as well as introduce profitable new clients to the business. To formulate a commercial strategy to attract new and diverse business streams, maximising the opportunities from our existing client base.

Main responsibilities to include:

  • Build and maintain relationships with all client stakeholders within contracted framework and partnership clients with a view to maximising opportunity and profit
  • Support bid manager in their role, managing workflow, contributing to tender submissions and ensuring weekly targets are achieved
  • Work with main contractors, understanding structure, processes, whose who, to further enhance PA Group as a sector ‘go to contractor’ for asbestos related services
  • Maintain company profile within RSK Group via internal meetings and utilisation of internal communication platforms
  • Manage website and social media activity
  • Attend seminars and exhibitions as required
  • Host and lead internal sales meetings with operational teams

Person Specification:

With a proven commercial and BD track record and having experience in the asbestos and construction industries, you will also have the following;

  • High degree of IT literacy/ability to write clear, well-structured, and concise communications
  • Self-motivation and good organisational skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • An ability to learn new skills and a readiness to learn
  • Proven ability to work in multi discipline teams; including administrative and operations
  • Leadership experience
  • Driving licence as UK travel will be required
  • Good relationship building skills

Desired Experience:

The following would also be advantageous in this role:

  • Asbestos and/or construction related services for the same role
  • Experience with main contractors (both tier 1 & 2) and smaller supply chain partners
  • People management
  • Data base management
